Job Summary:
The Network Specialist at Parrish Consulting Services, Inc. will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's network infrastructure. This individual will work closely with the IT team to ensure network integrity, security, and performance. The role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving network issues, as well as implementing new network technologies as needed. The Network Specialist will be a crucial asset in supporting the company's overall mission and goals.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with a compensation range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year. The salary will be paid weekly. Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor the network infrastructure, ensuring stability and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner
- Work with the IT team to implement new network technologies and systems
- Provision, deploy, maintain network hardware and software for local area networks (LAN)
- Provision, deploy, maintain network hardware and software for wide area networks (WAN)
- Conduct and oversee installation, trouble-shooting, and repair of physical network communications
- Manage security updates and back-ups of networking equipment
- Conduct network performance testing and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades
- Monitor network security and implement measures to protect against potential threats
- Provide technical support and assistance to colleagues and clients as needed
- Document all network configurations and procedures
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in network technology
- Collaborate with other IT and engineering team members to ensure an efficient and seamless network system
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a networking role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, architecture, and security
- Experience with Netgear and Fortinet hardware
- Experience in PBX systems
- Experience with network troubleshooting and performance monitoring tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly preferred
