We Are Currently Looking For aWater Country - EMT Roles & ResponsibilitiesWater Country EMTs are responsible for maintaining the health and safety of our park guests and team members. The EMT provides both emergency and non-emergency medical care at the BLS (Basic Life Support) level to guests and team members in need. Someone in the EMT role must be able to handle high stress situations and have good decision making skills.
Respond to park wide calls to provide appropriate medical assistance
Assess the nature and extent of emergency situations and the need for additional assistance
Comply with applicable policies and procedures, SOPs, and patient care protocols
Mitigate incidents by helping to control crowds and protect park assets
Work in tandem with aquatics staff and direct lifeguards during medical emergencies
Report incidents into TEMSIS/RespondNH and Water Country incident management databases
Maintain daily inventory and inspect all park medical equipment
Work with Guest Relations to assist guests with medical accommodations
Complete patient care reports and other applicable documentation
Follow procedures for infection control, including bio-hazardous material identification, clean up and disposal
Assist other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications / Requirements
Must possess and maintain valid National Registry EMT certification and NH providers license
Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of NH patient care protocols at the Basic level
Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills
Demonstrates superior writing and documentation skills
Provides excellent customer service to guests and team members with appropriate “bedside manner”
Ability to work in various weather and temperature conditions
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Recognizes and promptly responds to or communicates safety concerns
Previous medical experience preferred
