Position Overview:

Catering duties include but are not limited to: preparing food, providing customer service, serving prepared foods, stocking and rotating merchandise, following safety regulations, and performing various administrative and cleaning tasks. Working as a Catering Team Member is the perfect way to gain valuable customer service, food preparation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Please note: ALL Catering team members will also provide support to the Food & Beverage department throughout the season.

* Greet customers, assist with questions, and manage accurate transactions to provide an engaging customer experience

* Serve large groups of guests by assisting with buffet style service

* Prepare food through correct product specifications and procedures

* Replenish condiments, beverages, and food supplies while maintaining a clean work area

* Conduct transactions while ensuring all handling procedures are followed - including credit and refund transactions, loss prevention

* Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests

* Monitor product quality and communicate shrinkage/waste to the lead and/or supervisor

* Other duties as assigned to support the park

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 16 years of age

* Must complete course and obtain a Connecticut State Food Handlers Certification

* Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

* Excellent customer service skills, ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns

* Strong communications skills with a complete understanding of the English language

* Must have flexible schedule availability, including holidays and weekends

* Ability to work in a team in a fast-paced kitchen

Working Conditions:

* Requires standing for long periods, ability to walk long distances within the park

* Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat and cold temperatures

* Must be able to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 30 pounds

* Occasional bending, squatting and reaching above shoulders
