Dietary Cook Responsibilities:

• Monitor and serve an attractive, nutritious and adequate meal which is balanced and follow that menu as approved by the department manager and the dietitian.
• Serve food that is palatable, appetizing and attractive with positive customer service
• Comply with resident needs and the instructions of your supervisors, which includes maintaining and following individualized resident diet cards
• Maintain and use equipment and supplies
• Work cooperatively with other staff and departments
• Setup and breakdown of dining area and kitchen as needed
• Use initiative and judgment in setting up meals
• Wash dishes and silverware as needed
• Store food deliveries as needed
• Prep and set up table settings as needed
• Set up drinks in advance is needed
• Fix coffee or drinks as outlined on menu
• Ability to sweep and mop floors after meal service
• Cooperate and follow instructions of cook when the manager is not in facility
• Prepare foods as needed or instructed by management
• Other responsibilities may be assigned.
