PWCTC has a permanent position beginning the 2024-2025 school year for a Diesel Technician professional to teach high school aged students. We will assist the selected candidate in the process to obtain the proper clearances and permanent certification that is required to hold and maintain the position.
Potential candidate qualifications include: PA State Inspection License for Category 1&3 vehicles, ASE and Section 609 certifications are a plus. Preferred Medium/Heavy Duty Vehicle Truck Technology OCA or Vocational Teaching Certificate and Associate Degree.
The potential candidate needs a minimum of five (5) years’ verifiable employment experience in the medium/heavy truck and trailer industry within the last 10 years. Candidate should also be familiar with the theory and operation of all systems found on on-highway trucks including gasoline and diesel engines, air and hydraulic brakes, electrical and electronics, steering and suspension, and driveline systems. Candidate must be able to meet time deadlines, have an intrinsic desire to work with high school students, excellent organizational skills and exemplary communication skills. Candidate must be able to obtain required clearances if chosen for the position.
