Summary

· Responsible for assisting Physicians with care and assessment of all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health System and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.

OR

• Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and perform routine clinical tasks.
• Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
• Coordinate patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care.

Education

· Must be a graduate of a school of nursing.

· Must complete General Orientation, Patient Care Orientation, and PPG practice orientation as provided and required.

OR

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

Licensure/Certification

· Must have current state Licensed Practice Nurse license.

· Must have current CPR certification.

· Additional certifications may be required for specific areas.

Other Qualifications

· Must have sufficient previous clinical experience (during training) in area of assignment.

· Demonstrate experience in customer service, establishing priorities, and working independently.

· Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist with 100 lbs.
