A volunteer force is recruited, equipped, developed, and supported so that they are ready and energized to carry out the mission of Parkview Kids for the Backyard

REPONSIBILITIES

• Schedule Backyard room volunteers for Saturday services, assuring appropriate volunteer to 

child ratios

• Connect relationally with volunteer team during Saturday services, and throughout the week with phone calls, emails and periodic connecting events so that they are equipped, empowered, and cared for
• Plan events to train, connect, and appreciate the Backyard volunteers, working along with the Sunday Coordinator 
• Identify and coach potential candidates through the leadership pathway
• Manage the Saturday Backyard SG and LG recruitment pipeline, walking each new recruit through the volunteer assimilation process and training, assuring that no new recruit is left behind
• Uphold all Parkview Kids safety rules and children’s ministry values to ensure the spiritual, emotional, and physical safety of every participant and volunteer 
• Ensure that the team is appropriately prepared for emergency evacuations and situations
• Ensure that the Backyard environments are safe, clean, welcoming, well-equipped and organized including weekly room setup of curriculum, chairs/tables, and ordering of any needed supplies, working along with the Sunday Coordinator
• Oversee the OP Campus Backyard Volunteer Team and Supply budget, working along with the Sunday Coordinator

• Serve on the floor for all Saturday services, connecting and assisting volunteers and parents, overseeing implementation and execution of the centrally prepared Parkview Kids curriculum, serving as a point person for the Backyard (excluding the service that is attended)
• Develop, connect, and rally the Saturday Backyard volunteer team through weekly huddles 
• Raise up a coach to be scheduled in the event of your absence on a Saturday
• Assist with special Kids events as needed
• Attend monthly all-staff meetings if available
• Attend Kids staff meetings and check-ins with the Parkview Kids Campus Director at the discretion of the Campus director
