About Parks:

First established in 1961, Parks Medical Electronics has a long, established history as the industry’s most experienced manufacturer of Doppler ultrasound systems. Founded as Parks Electronics Laboratory by Loren Parks to manufacture plethysmographs of his own design, the Parks product line grew to include impedance plethysmographs, mercury strain gauge plethysmographs, hearing testers, EKG telephone telemetry, and exercise EKG telemetry in the years before Doppler.

Parks products are still manufactured domestically at our Oregon facility, allowing us to support products we produce for years beyond the norm. Many of the products we sold over 30 years ago are still in use today… and are still supported by Parks. In a business that has seen numerous competitors come and go, leaving customers without support, Parks has been a constant throughout and remains the industry leader today.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing, standardizing, and leading both direct and indirect procurement efforts for Parks Medical Electronics entire business. This position reports to the COO/GM, and requires a roll-up-your-sleeves approach in leading negotiating, delivery, success measurement, vendor management, and quality success of Parks’ entire component and vendor base. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory flows to meet customer-delivery requirements, as well as company profitability and inventory investment standards. This position is on-site in Parks’ Aloha, OR facility.

Position Requirements:

• Manages direct vendor relationships, including day to day contact, KPI reporting, and regular review cycles as necessary.
• Research, contact, and select potential vendors to receive proposals for price, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
• Makes independent judgment on purchases up to authorized dollar limits and specifications in conformance with established procurement procedures and legal requirements.
• Maintains list of approved vendors. Recommends current and/or new vendors.
• Conveys delivery, inventory and quality goals to vendors and likewise communicates issues related to product delivery or inventory to internal stakeholders.
• Processes Requisitions, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders
• Updates vendor files using ERP purchasing software.
• Collaborate with sister company vendor on pricing, delivery parameters, and future demand forecasts to help gain efficiencies with their business,
• Collaborates with internal partners to ensure product BOM’s are accurate and ERP data is clean and scrubbed on a regular basis.
• Sets target inventory levels by product and ensures inventory levels are maintained to agreed upon quality standards
• Manages indirect purchasing functions within agreed upon budget parameters
• Expedites orders, working with the plant and production control, to meet production schedules.
• Partner with Parks Accounts Payable department to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Other duties as requested from COO/GM

Requirements:

· BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

· 3 (three) years or more experience in supply chain management or purchasing in an electronics manufacturing environment (preferred)

· ERP/MRP experience

· Continuous improvement mindset

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· APICS certifications (CPM, CSCM) a plus

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
