The Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for procuring medications and supplies from appropriate resources and ensuring proper storage to maintain their quality and integrity. The buyer performs inventory management activities that ensure appropriate stock levels of medications, oversees the removal of outdated and recalled medications from supply, maintains purchasing contract compliance, promotes cost effectiveness, and works in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. This position also performs routine responsibilities of a Certified Pharmacy Technician as needed to assist the department in meeting patient care needs.
