The Valet Parking City Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest level of service for clients, leadership teams, and guests. This on-site position involves overseeing multiple accounts, leading a team of managers, managing financial documents, handling revenues, and implementing claim prevention strategies. Employee management, including hiring, training, and maintaining positive relationships with associates and clients, is a key responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

On-Site Leadership:

  • Work a minimum of 40 hours on-site and at various city-wide accounts.
  • Maintain a work-friendly atmosphere at all locations.
  • Actively contribute to expanding market share through traditional hotel accounts, commercial lots/garages, and/or hotel self-parking, while maintaining a sustainable competitive advantage.

Financial Management:

  • Update and maintain forecasts, budgets, and other financial documents.
  • Weekly review of associate punches, claimed tips, minimum wage, and car counts. Follow up with associates and correctly submit by an established deadline.
  • Management of claim preventions, claims reporting, and revenue collection at account(s).
  • Maximize revenue streams, enhance payroll efficiency, and boost overall client and associate satisfaction.
  • Manage revenue, payroll, and claims effectively, leading by example with firsthand involvement in productive shifts.

Employee Management:

  • Hire, train, develop, and discipline/terminate employees.
  • Ensure associates are compliant with onboarding tasks and properly trained or certified before their first shift.
  • Identify, coach, and train associates for internal promotions at all levels.

Client and Associate Relations:

  • Maintain a strong level of communication with associates and clients.
  • Anticipate client needs and exceed their expectations in resolving customer issues.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with clients and staff, establishing a foundation for long-term partnerships

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Be prepared for on-call problem-solving 24/7.
  • Booking, scheduling, and billing private events (where applicable).
  • Up to 75% travel may be required.

Competency/Qualifications:

To excel in this role, an individual must successfully handle problem-solving, possess technical skills, demonstrate strong customer service, teamwork, leadership, and managerial capabilities. The ability to adapt to changes, dependability, and a commitment to safety and security are crucial. Strong reasoning ability and proficiency in computer skills, including Windows and Office products, are required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1 year minimum previous supervisory and related customer service/hospitality experience preferred.
  • Management or leadership-related training/certifications/business is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Ability to run, retrieve vehicles, and lift luggage up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to drive a standard (stick-shift) vehicle.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Regular exposure to all outdoor weather conditions (e.g., wet, snow, humid, extreme heat and cold, where applicable).
  • Standing for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Physically able to run to and from vehicles and parking areas multiple times during a shift.
  • Running 200 yards, up to 75 times during a shift is not uncommon.
  • Quickly getting in and out of many different types and sizes of vehicles during a shift.
