Make and re-grind tooling to close tolerances used on machines throughout the operation.

• Rework gauges and gauge plugs.
• Check vendor tooling on a limited basis, repair fixtures, jigs and tools utilizing complex prints and interface with engineering.
• Required to visit shop floor and troubleshoot.
• Must requisition supplies.
• Works independently.Selects materials, standards and methods to be used.
• In the absence of specifications or design detail must proceed from own conception.
• Trains others and assigns work.
• Maintain neat, clean area.Must maintain the highest degree of quality, safety, cost reduction and customer service continuously.
• Performs these duties and others as requested.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Toolmaking experience required.
• Knowledge of the general production system is a must.
