Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Design Engineering Co-Op for Fall 2024. This position is located in Columbus, OH.

Parker Hannifin is looking for a Design Engineering Co-Op to work with product and project engineers in the Product Engineering department of the Tube Fittings Division (TFD). TFD designs, manufactures, and markets high pressure hydraulic fittings for the industrial market. The fittings are used for connecting different components in the hydraulic system via rigid metal tubes or flexible hoses.

  • Work with the engineers in designing new products
  • Make new or modify existing product drawings using Inventor (training provided)
  • Help with ordering & testing prototype parts
  • Analyze test results and help refine the design
  • Write test reports
  • Help create other engineering documents and maintain engineering database
  • Make special product drawings to customer specifications
  • Work closely with sales and marketing personnel to provide premier customer service
  • Participate in project status reports at the product meetings
  • Help with other misc. engineering tasks
  • Undergraduate student, Sophomore status or greater, currently working towards a bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Strong work ethic demonstrated through past experiences
  • Basic understanding of Engineering design and drawings
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
  • Good organizational and numerical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Ofiice, Email and Internet
  • Must be a U. S. Citizen
