Maintenance Ambassador

Park Waterloo is currently searching for outgoing personalities to join our team to help us in meeting our customer service objectives as we continue to improve the overall parking operations downtown. Our maintenance staff helps with the upkeep, cleaning, repair and improvements to the parking structures and surface lots downtown Waterloo.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist guests in the facilities and provide customer service

· Repairing parking equipment

· Pigeon abatement

· Snow/ice abatement during winter months

· Fixing safety issues

· General cleaning (90% of daily activity) and repair work

· Painting

· Assist with event operations and pre-sell parking

· Cross train in other departments

· Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods of time

· Outgoing, friendly personality

· Ability to walk or stand for entire shift

· Sufficient personal mobility

· Ability to lift 30lbs.

· Valid Iowa driver’s license

· Clean background check

· Reliable transportation to and from work

· Impeccable attendance

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

· 24/7 Operation

· Current Shift is Monday-Friday 6a-3p; Summer hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11a-8p

· Shifts change based on time of year (winter/spring)

· Overtime required on a regular basis; 40 hours per week is a minimum

· Main functions of this position are cleaning (outdoors ALL day) and assisting customers

· Flexible schedule is needed- hours can vary based on needs of the operation and downtown events

· Benefits are available, including health, dental, vision and life insurance. Pay starts at $15.00/hour.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
