Park University is Hiring an Admissions Manager Near Gilbert, AZ

The Gilbert Admissions Manager provides leadership and support to the Gilbert admissions team through day-to-day supervision of the team of recruitment and admissions representatives as they assist prospective applicants in achieving first-time enrollment. In addition, this position will directly support a portfolio of prospective applicants through the admissions process until first-time enrollment. This position is expected to lead, create, communicate, and deliver upon mutual goals for the admissions team and serve as the first point of contact to resolve issues related to first-time enrollment. Gilbert Admissions Manager will provide feedback and solutions to enhance the admissions process and ensure that established protocols are executed consistently and in a timely fashion by the Gilbert admissions team.
Position Accountabilities
Admissions Team Leadership and Enrollment Growth
  • Manage the Gilbert admissions team to include selecting, onboarding, and training new team members to ensure the best possible team is in place. Coach, develop, and evaluate team members to ensure first time enrollment goals are met.
  • Ensure team members meet monthly, session, and annual contact and conversion goals to enroll new students. Nurture, develop, and enhance existing relationships with potential partner schools to foster partnerships and enrollment relationships.
  • Supervise admissions team members, implement solutions and work to resolve problems to ensure successful fulfillment of all job responsibilities.
  • Consult, design and deliver schedules and work with team members on productivity reports for team members.
Communication, Caseload Management and Admissions Reporting
  • Assist with the distribution of leads and applicants to admissions team to ensure optimal student portfolios on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Ensure timely review of student applicant files by Registrar and Financial Aid by supplying service level metrics. Coordinate with various departments to minimize perceived obstacles to enrollment.
  • Work with team members to ensure to improve, delivery, and optimize the Gilbert admissions student contact philosophy.
  • Utilize available technologies and the university CRM to provide student status reports, alert necessary resource personnel, conduct outreach and record interactions.
Training and Development
  • Design and facilitate weekly team training sessions and continual on the job training and coaching. Ensure staff develop competencies to follow established Admissions Representative Protocols for student caseload management to include contact/outreach strategies, interview and degree planning sessions, new student orientation, registration, and completion of funding processes from prospect until student matriculation.
  • Provide training opportunities to consistently reinforce core admissions messages across multiple departments with an “everyone is a recruiter” mindset.
  • Work with team to maintain adherence to Park University policies and procedures.
Other
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned to benefit the University and/or the department.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred, with at least 3 years of experience in higher education admissions, including 1 year of experience directly supervising staff.
  • Experience working with the adult online audience preferred.
  • The ability to be self-motivated while performing a number of different tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong problem solving skills and strong attention to detail required.
  • Must be able to do research and detailed work.
  • Ability to work both face-to-face and in a virtual environment, effectively responding to email, chat or phone calls.
  • Able to work on a non-traditional schedule, specifically evenings and weekends.
  • Preference given to candidates with supervisory experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with advising, marketing, or sales experience.
  • Preference given to Veterans or candidates with military experience or affiliation.
  • Highly flexible, creative, and able to adapt to new project demands.
  • Preference given to candidates with working knowledge and experience with a wide range of computer technology such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), databases, telephony and constituent relationship management (CRM) systems.
