Job Description:

Park Street Machine is seeking a CNC machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience setting up CNC mills or lathes. The ideal candidate will have also have the ability to read blueprints, read/understand basic programs, read/understand Mazatrol, set up multi-axis CNC machines, and use precision measurement tools to verify results. The opportunities in this position include becoming a Department Lead and developing a stable, rewarding career.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Mazak and Haas CNC lathes and mills including but not limited to working with Indicators and other precision tools, Math Equations, and Mazatrol/MasterCam programs
  • Organize job flow and schedule based on management direction, job similarity, efficiency (forward thinking).
  • Understand the function of basic tools used in machining. Possess knowledge of how to determine proper speed/feed.
  • Perform basic tooling management functions, organizing and maintaining inventory
  • Build and maintain tool lists for repeating jobs
  • Clean/maintain shop area
  • Perform some routine preventive maintenance on equipment (e.g. maintaining coolant and lubricant levels)
  • Maintain safety by following all safety rules and procedures and adhere to company safety policies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong background in machining, including experience with CNC lathe and Mazatrol
  • Knowledge of CAM programming and CNC operations
  • Familiarity with basic math and mechanical principles
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, and other relevant tools
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or similar industry
  • Certification in CNC programming or related field is a plus
  • Proven record of dependability and willingness to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
