Job Description: Part Time After School Teacher

We are a social innovation organization, specializing in STEAM (STEM/Arts) education for children and adults. The successful candidate for this position would help us to expand our reach via the following skills/tasks in working with children:

Applicants MUST

• Have a love for teaching children
• A passion to provide support in character development
• Have content knowledge in a STEAM (STEM/Arts) field or be willing to learn
• A talent for making education both impressive and fun
• Have reliable transportation

Responsibilities include: Assisting with snack/hand washing, supervising outdoor play time, assist site director with STEAM lesson plans/ activities, and supervise Choice time activities with the children. Other duties as assigned

Required:

• Must be patient, flexible, able to manage groups of children, organized, and enjoy children.
• At least one year experience and/or education in: early childhood education, elementary education, or teaching enrichment classes desired.
• Must pass an extensive background check.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
