Park Port Canaveral is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Cape Canaveral, FL

Park Port Canaveral, located at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral, FL, is looking for Dispatchers.

The Dispatcher coordinates the flow of transportation between our guests/customers and our Shuttle Bus Drivers, ensuring the timeliness of pick-ups and drop-offs at designated locations. Organization and prioritization skills are a must.

Typical Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

This position operates under the direction of the Transportation Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate /dispatch buses and drivers to ensure timely flow of pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Check on and communicate with customers and contacts at designated locations regarding scheduling, pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Prepare daily transportation reports.
  • Work with the GM of Transportation in the scheduling of personnel and equipment according to business levels.
  • Monitor on-going business levels throughout the day and make adjustments to call buses or call off duty as necessary.
  • Ability to adjust routes based on traffic flow in order to facilitate the timeliness of pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Maintain, support and promote a safe work environment complying with all safety rules and regulations to ensure the wellbeing of guest/customers and employees.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to read and understand English and Math.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Must be able to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a basic understanding of public transportation.
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and evenings according to business levels.
