Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of a Pharmacist, assists in the timely and accurate dispensing of non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medications to patients in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Education/Experience:
1. One or more years Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
1. Must be registered with the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
2. Math aptitude is required. Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses
3. Knowledge of pharmaceutical products is desirable.
4. Ability to type
5. Attention to detail
6. Customer service skills
7. Basic computer skills required including use of Epic and Microsoft Office products (e-mail, internet, Word, Excel).
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
10. Time and task management, prioritizing, and organizational skill
11. Ability to prioritize and problem solve
