Park Nicollet is Hiring a Clinical Support Tech Near Saint Louis, MN

Position Summary:
Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Provide/support patient's care by performing tasks and duties consistent with professional standards, ICSI guidelines, and PNHS policies and procedures. In addition, may function in supply aid and/or sterilization capacity. Maintain a safe work area and ensure that it is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized. Implement cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.
Education/Experience:
  • Must meet one of the following:
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or currently registered as a pharmacy technician with one or more years pharmacy technician experience OR
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program and current Nursing Assistant Certification
  • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
  • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions
PREFERRED:
  • At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care or pharmacy setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintains standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA. Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
Must maintain skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Additional Information:

This position is a .8 FTE (32 hours per week), straight days position at Park Nicollet Creekside Family Medicine clinic located in St Louis Park, MN. The clinic is open Monday 8a-6p and Tuesday-Fridays 8a-5p, the shifts will vary between these hours of operation. The clinic is not open on weekends or major holidays.

Creekside Family Medicine is a residency clinic where the providers that practice are either resident physicians or are faculty physicians. The clinic also hosts several medical students, social work students and pharmacy students throughout the year. As a part of the team, you will help foster, teach, and support the learning experience along with providing exceptional patient care with respect and integrity through teamwork and collaboration. This role partners with 9 other clinical support staff and is responsible for following a standard rooming process and rooming patients to prepare them for the visit with the provider.

Employees of Creekside Family Medicine enjoy free parking on site. The clinic is within walking distance to Methodist Hospital and located a short drive to several shopping and restaurant options. Creekside clinic overlooks Minnehaha Creek and there are several walking paths close by, as well as the boardwalk over the creek to walk around.
