POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and dining areas, contributing to the seamless operation of one of Chicago's premier luxury hotels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to);

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, dishwashing, and dining areas according to established standards.
• Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized.
• Supporting the culinary team as needed during peak service hours.
• Handle and store all kitchen equipment and supplies with care, following proper procedures for sanitation and safety.
• Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth communication and efficient workflow in a fast-paced environment.
• Support special events and functions by providing timely and effective stewarding services as required.

• Previous experience in a similar role in a hospitality or food service setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Knowledge of proper handling and storage of kitchen equipment, chemicals, and cleaning agents.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of standing and walking.
• Open availability is required for all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
