Description

Summary : Under the direction of the Seasonal Supervisor, the Lakefront Parking Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the upper and lower parking areas at Rosewood Beach.

This includes directing resident and non-resident of authorized parking spaces, traffic control and explaining associated fees as well as customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Check all vehicles for appropriate season pass stickers and direct patrons to the appropriate parking areas.
• Advise all non-resident patrons of fee schedules associated with parking and beach access. Assist with daily fee transactions when necessary.
• Assist in traffic flow of vehicles using the Rosewood Beach facility.
• Enforce all policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service with a courteous and polite manner, including interactions with difficult patrons.
• Perform other Park District-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience : Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements :

• Must be available to work Memorial Day through Labor Day.
• Must attend preseason training during the month of May and regular in-service trainings.
