Role:
You are responsible for:
  • Assisting members and potential members with their telephone and electronic correspondence requests
  • Explaining services, responding to problems, and directing phone calls to the appropriate area
  • Referring problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor
  • Providing applications as requested
  • Processing Remote Contact requests in the same fashion as answering and handling telephone requests/issues
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members
  • Maintaining action log as required for review monthly/quarterly/annually
  • Performing transactions related to ATM/Debit Card programs including ordering cards and placing blocks per credit union guidelines
  • Providing information regarding these transactions to members and resolve issues that are within authority
  • Providing information on remote services
  • Maintaining knowledge of all products and services offered
  • Following all security policies and report suspicious activity to manager
  • Maintaining member account information on computer system
  • Assuring that appropriate records are maintained
  • Willingly assisting other departments as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned
To assist the Credit Union in the achievement of its goals you will:
  • Always make a positive difference in each member's financial life
  • Provide the highest quality of service to internal/external members
  • Identify members' financial needs and recommending products and services that would meet those needs
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to a high school education.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills: Good listening and telephone skills.
