Pariser Dermatology Specialists has been providing dermatology services to the Hampton Roads community for more than 75 years. Today, Pariser Dermatology Specialists has seven locations across Hampton Roads and is one of the largest independent dermatology practices in the country.

We have an open position in our Chesapeake office for a Front Desk/Cosmetic Coordinator. Do you have Front Desk experience in a medical setting? Do you have an interest or experience in cosmetics? If so, this may be the job you are looking for. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is organized; detail oriented, and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. Experience in a private medical front office and working with an EMR system is preferred. This position serves as support for general medical office activities as well as the main coordinator for medical grade skin care products and services. This position works closely with the physicians and aestheticians.

Job description:

• Ability to provide consultation services to patients on different products and services
• Inventory management of medical grade skin care products
• Manages the sale of cosmetic products as recommended by physicians and aestheticians
• Scheduling patient appointments and providing professional customer service
• Checking patients in and out
• Obtaining health insurance cards/information
• Verifying patient information
• Collecting payments from the patient
• Answering incoming /making outgoing phone calls

Job requirements:

• Must have an interest in the aesthetic industry and willingness to learn about and sell skin care products
• Prior cosmetic experience required
• Previous experience in sales a plus
• Experience in a medical office preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of MS Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
