Job Description: Provide special education instruction in the areas of English and mathematics to students in a middle school (grades 5-8) inclusion classroom. Primary Function: To develop, organize and implement individualized education plans in a 5-8th grade learning environment that is student oriented, positive, and dedicated to assisting students in reaching their full potential. Main Job Task and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement IEP goals and objectives linked to Common Core Standards while utilizing appropriate assessment data to accurately gauge progress towards completion of individualized goals.Utilize research based instructional strategies to maximize student achievement.Effectively communicate expectations, requirements, and necessary supports to all providers to insure students receive appropriate instruction across all settings.Manage classroom by establishing rules and procedures and organize physical space of the classroom to compliment various modes of teaching and learning.Maintain accurate and complete special education records for all students in accordance with IDEA rules and regulations.Communicate with parents in an effort to maintain positive relationship and team approach for student success.Maintain professionalism in all aspects, including the provision of services to students, advocacy, assessment, decision-making, and implementation.Please send application and resume to:Mr. Trey Prieur, Principaltprieur@parisschools.org
