Paris Foods is Hiring a Repack Associate- LEX Near Lexington, NC

Job Purpose Summary:
Perform necessary repack tasks safely and to ensure overall repack performance and efficiencies. Ability to perform job tasks as outlined below:
Specific Responsibilities of the Position:
  • Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
  • Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
  • Box Room: Proper set up and operation of both the box and bag machine.
    • Inspect bags and cartons for integrity during this task
    • Collect and document the tracking labels from the poly liner rolls used during each shift
  • Scale: Inspect product contained in cartons coming from the box filler station.
    • Shake cartons to settle product inside the poly liner and fold poly liner over inside the carton to cover product.
    • Turn off conveyor belts and roller track feeding the taper as directed.
    • Monitor the taper in-feed to ensure cartons are moving smoothly and if not correct any blocked carton or press the E-stop on the taper and contact the supervisor.
    • Complete and document daily checklist
  • Stacker: Ensure proper stacking patterns for product and stack off neatly per requirements.
    • Check legibility of carton markings and stack cartons in appropriate configuration for carton size/weight and customer requirement.
    • Monitor the taper/inkjet belt for any carton flow interruption and correct as necessary or contact the supervisor.
  • Inspector: Constantly inspect the flow of product for anything specified for the specific run, foreign material or cross contamination, if any cross contamination or foreign objects are found inform the supervisor or QC immediately
  • Floater: Actively fill in for all job requirements and fulfill duties as outlined below:
    • Break down all incoming packaging materials as they are used, i.e. totes, liners, corner posts, pallets and organize these components as appropriate to type and condition.
    • Inspect all totes and pallets for quality and segregate any reusable materials accordingly and ensure all bins, totes, pallets, etc. are properly labeled.
    • Empty any leftover vegetation from liner bags into a product waste tote prior to recycling liners.
  • Hopper Operator:
    • Inspect product visually prior to dumping and while product is filling hopper station.
    • Operate dump station carefully to avoid product loss or unnecessary breakage.
    • When necessary use assigned equipment for product handling to break up frozen product as necessary.
    • Return empty totes to the loading position and remove from dumper.
    • Monitor product levels to keep product flow consistent and avoid running out of product.
    • Assist with product preparation, removing tape from totes and staging for use.
    • Keep work station/area clean and void of any garbage, materials breakage or processed food.
    • Work together to maintain all required housekeeping in your work area prior to all shift breaks as well as end of shift
  • General Responsibilities:
    • Be observant of physical environment, forklift traffic and co-workers.
    • Immediately report work place hazards / safety concerns to supervisor.
    • Immediately report QA product concerns to supervisor.
    • Immediately report any injuries to supervisor.
    • Be familiar with all safety functions of equipment in use prior to usage.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Ability to both understand and follow given directions.
  • Ability to pass both written and practical Hi-Lo Operation test (for hopper operations)
  • General Knowledge of scheduling, shipping & receiving, and good food safety practices
Education and Experience:
  • Production experience is preferred.
  • Degree or equivalent experience: High School diploma, GED or equivalent education
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk or bend and stoop for periods of a day.

Work in refrigerated / cold conditions for prolonged daily periods.
