Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Ensures accurate staffing and census records.
• Acts as in-house resource for staff, patients, visitors, and physicians.
• Assists units and families with patient expirations.
• Responds to potential and/or actual emergency situations with direct and appropriate actions.
• Coordinates transportation for transfers and/or admissions.
• Obtains and communicates bed assignments utilizing the bedboard system.
• Demonstrates ability in using hospital information systems.
• Demonstrates knowledge of processes to use when diversional status is requested.

What qualifications you will need:

• Nursing graduate with RN diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing.- Required
• Four years experience as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated proficiency in leadership, management skills, and critical care experience. Required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled in a program of study obtaining a BSN. Preferred
• Registered Nurse - Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state in which he or she practices, or active compact RN license .
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
