Dietary Aide is responsible for running the tray line, food preperation, ensuring utensils and other items are ready for safe use etc.

1Reports at assigned time, in uniform, ready for duty;

2Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures;

3Is aware of safety regulations and responsibilities in operating all equipment;

4Delivers food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas, including resident rooms and dining room, as instructed by supervisor;

5Serve – in dining rooms;

6Prepare and deliver snacks as directed;

7Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures;

8Reports any discrepancies in his/her area to department supervisor;

9Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;

10Performs related work as assigned.
