Parallel Employment Group, in partnership with a Buffalo area manufacturing client, is seeking a qualified Machine Operator.

This position plays a crucial role in operations, ensuring the ability to supply production with SMC material while maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy.

Pay Rate : $21 / hr.

Hours : 10am-6 : 30pm

Key Responsibilities :

149;Safety – Follow safety rules and encourage safe practices in the workplace. Responsible for performing duties according to procedures to ensure safe operations.

Ability to make safety suggestions and set a good example for others.

149;Works with multiple components like (resins, fillers, pigments) to make batches according to specified formulas.

149;Transfer materials from tank to the machine, operating process equipment (pumps, valves, mixers, etc.), and loading / unloading drums and totes.

149;Monitors machine operations.

149;Assists in start-up, shut downs and clean ups.

149;Must be capable of operating or able to learn how to operate a forklift

149;Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

149;Changes chopper blades, produces the ability to work safely.

149;Periodically cleans out tank filters to ensure smooth pumping of material and reduce contamination.

Requirements & Qualifications :

149;3-5 years appropriate experience in a continuous process production environment, similar to printing or bottling.

149;Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong sense of urgency.

149;Data oriented – excels at problem solving and decision-making skills.

149;Good mechanical / technical aptitude.

149;Good math skills – ability to read and understand batching formulas.

149;Good oral communication skills.

149;Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Includes; safety glasses, steel toe work boots, earplugs, respirator, face shield, gloves etc.
