Parallel Ag proudly carries quality fertilizer and application equipment plus a full-line of parts to help all farming operations. With well-known brands such as Apache Sprayer, Unverferth toolbars, Rayman tenders, Brehmer tenders, Simonsen fertilizer equipment and Kinze planters and grain carts, you won’t find a more extensive inventory of field-ready equipment. Customers come to depend on Parallel Ag to get any job done and we are looking to add a highly-motivated Parts Professional to our team!

The Parts Professional will be greeting customers and helping them receive the agriculture parts that they need to keep their equipment going. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.

Summary:

Performs a variety of customer service duties including but not limited to; parts counter sales, incoming phone orders and technical help, receiving and stocking of parts and accessories, order filling and shipping as well as assisting service personnel which all contributes to the efficient, profitable operation of the parts department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Parts Department:

  • Sell products and/or services to repair the problem and meet the customer's needs
  • Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledge all customers they come in contact with
  • Assist in keeping parts department clean and orderly
  • Record all sales and/or customer transactions that occur
  • Provide service technicians with parts as required
  • Organize merchandising displays
  • Maintain the retail sale floor and displays to meet or exceed the Parallel Ag standards
  • Stock showroom inventory to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction
  • Process cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required at a point of sale
  • Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description
  • Use dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently
  • Follow up on shortages in a timely manner.
  • Checks open tickets on a regular basis

Qualifications


Required Capabilities:

  • Ability to speak effectively one on one, over the phone and via email
  • Ability to effectively listen
  • Ability to interpret customer needs
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Good organizational skills

Physical Demands:

  • Extended lengths of periods sitting at a desk
  • Requires the use of both hands to lift up to 80lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs to stock parts and pull orders
