Parallel Advisors is Hiring an Operations Associate - Client Service (Alternatives) Near Dallas, TX

Job Description:

The Operations Associate - Client Service (Alternatives) will be joining a fast-growing Registered Investment Advisor firm with a culture of entrepreneurship, education, and collaboration. The Associate will be dedicated to quality control via a variety of performance and project management responsibilities within our firm. As a member of the Operations team, the Associate will work closely with our financial advisors, vendors, alternative investment funds, and custodian support teams as well as provide project assistance to our Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Optimize the client experience as it relates to operations and service in order to drive high satisfaction, quality, and efficiency for both the client and Parallel.

  • Manage all aspects of our clients’ operational needs within the timeframes committed to by Parallel and within the deadlines established by our custodians.

  • Serve as a resource to multiple financial advisors in supporting client relationships.

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional group projects to improve quality and efficiency within the teams.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Work with Alternative Investment funds to identify fund-specific processes when onboarding with Parallel

  • Process new subscriptions, re-registration of accounts, redemptions, capital calls as well as other maintenance items for clients’ Alternative Investments including: preparing & submitting paperwork

    • Prepare paperwork

    • Submit paperwork

  • Work with Client Service to reduce NIGOs

  • Train new team members of the Alternative Investments Operational Team

  • Develop and document operational processes related to Alternative Investments

  • Provide operational support to multiple Financial Advisors for their client relationships as relating to Alternative Investments

  • Work with multiple custodians to complete requests relating to Alternative Investments

  • Manage all aspects of clients’ Alternative Investment needs within the time frame committed to by Parallel and within the deadlines established by the Funds and the custodians

Qualifications:

  • Very strong attention to detail and problem solver.

  • Effectively able to solve puzzles and operate within ambiguity.

  • Savvy with technology, especially as it pertains to data entry and systems maintenance.

  • Deadline oriented and highly organized.

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to be proactive

  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred).
