Paragone Solutions, Inc. is Hiring a Sr. Cloud Security Engineer - AWS Focused (TS/SCI Req.) Near Ft. Belvoir, VA

Paragone Solutions is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer. This position will apply knowledge of the latest trends in the Cloud Security Engineering industry to support the analytical service contract in the deployment of web services and solutions enabling the automation of data discovery and support higher orders of analysis to implement Cloud Security best practices. This position designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems using current cloud-native deployment techniques and tools.

Salaries start at $200K and can go substantially higher based on qualifications. Relocation assistance, signing bonuses, full medical, and other benefits may apply. 

This is a full-time, on-site position located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD or in Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position requires an Active DOD Top Secret (TS) Clearance with SCI and Poly. If a candidate does not have a polygraph, they must be willing to undergo a polygraph investigation.

Qualifications:

Job responsibilities include:

  • Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics. 
  • Designs enterprise and systems security throughout the development lifecycle; translates technology and environmental conditions (e.g., law and regulation) into security designs and processes. 
  • Experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms. 
  • Guide, document, validate technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytic. 
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance. 
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required. 
  • Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity. 
  • Must have understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected frameworks. 
  • Proven ability to collaborative with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject matter experts. 
  • 3 or more years of combined design and hands-on cloud experience
  •  Must be willing to travel, as needed, 25% or more.

Additional Requirements:

  • MS degree plus 7 or more years directly related experience; or BS degree plus 10 or more years of directly related experience.
  • Degree: Computer Science or a related field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Security, and Information Systems) degree required
  • Active TS/SCI (SI/TK) w/CI poly
  • Primary Certifications - one or more of the following required: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, CSSLP, CCSP or CASP CE (must also have Linux Cert).
  • Additional Certifications - one or more of the following is a plus: Linux , RHEL, or other Linux type certification or training.
