This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new but rapidly growing Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology practice located conveniently in northern Phoenix. We currently have one physician and office staff. We are looking to add an ambitious Nurse Practicioner to our collaborative team. Experienced or new grads encouraged to apply. Cardiology experience is preferred but not required. At this time, we are only conducting in-person interviews.
The position would include making daily hospital rounds at one to two hospitals (within a 15 minute drive of each other). Rounds are 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday, 15-20 patients per day on average. Additionally, NP will round 1 weekend per month, typically 2-3 hours each weekend day, with the assistance of the supervising physician. Potential opportunity to participate in an outpatient clinic as practice grows. Responsibilities Include:
In collaboration with the physician, assumes clinical responsibility for tasks performed within Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice. Daily rounding on inpatient hospital patients, including taking a history and physical and completing consultation and progress notes. Assisting cardiologist in addressing calls from hospital staff regarding hospital patients. Arranging post discharge follow up appointments. Entering orders and discharge instructions for post procedure patients.
With practice growth, there will be an opportunity to see outpatient clinic patients. Engagement of primary care providers to build referral base and reinforce referral patterns. Additional opportunities include running the cardiac device clinic, supervising stress testing, and completing post op wound checks.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
1. Compact state or Arizona RN license (RN) and National Certificate as a nurse practitioner
2. Valid DEA registration (DEA)
3. ACLS and BLS certification

Annual Salary $110k
