Working under the supervision of Director of Nursing, the Nurse Supervisor’s Provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner; and is responsible to perform the following in accordance with the mission of Paradise Valley Estates, the organization’s standards, policies and procedures, and individualized resident plan of care.

Job responsibilities include:

• Assesses plans, implements and coordinates a plan of care for residents in pertinent areas, assures medications and treatments are administered to assigned residents.
• Assists with plan of care and interventions for effectiveness.
• Delivers care in accordance with resident care plan, policies and procedures of PVE, and principles of relationship-based care.
• Assures quality of care by adhering to standards; measuring health outcomes against care goals and regulatory standards.
• Assures physicians’ orders are processed correctly and physicians notified in a timely manner.
• Observes residents; directs and documents care provided to residents; receives and shares information; observes and reports residents’ conditions to appropriate staff or physician.
• Responds promptly to resident call lights.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a credentialed nursing program
• Valid RN or LVN license in California
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations
• Must have flexibility to work rotating days, some weekends and some holidays
