Position Overview

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will develop, implement, and sustain process improvement initiatives. This role will identify and improve the outcomes of manufacturing and operational processes to improve efficiencies and reduce cost. The position is ultimately responsible for developing and supporting Lean programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• This is a change agent role meaning it is accountable for achieving results by implementing lean manufacturing methods through influence, facilitation, coaching, and mentoring the production and support teams (without any direct authority).
• Create, Develop, and plan continuous improvement measures throughout manufacturing departments.
• Select/apply appropriate Lean tools to improve line capacity, line efficiency, process reliability, and other key measures.
• Develop/ leverage collaborative relationships to achieve work goals and promote a continuous improvement culture throughout the facility.
• Works cross-functionally with factory team members and leadership to optimize manufacturing environment.
• Lead the implementation of lean principles to drive results (Safety, Quality, Customer Delivery, Cost Management) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Present, facilitate and lead assigned process improvement events (Kaizen).
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities. Focusing on eliminating waste and improving process efficiencies and increasing throughput. Identify and implement improvement opportunities. Focusing on eliminating waste and improving process efficiencies and increasing throughput.
• Assist in the development of Standard Work for improved plant manufacturing processes.
• Assist with special projects and participate on other teams as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 3 years of experience in roles optimizing process and equipment performance and team member training required.
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (preferred)
• Strong problem solving, team building, planning and decision-making skills.
• Driven and able to influence others through leadership, teaching, and hands-on demonstrations of Lean principles and practices.
• Must have proficient skills with spreadsheets, email, Microsoft Office programs, and Manufacturing Software
• Able to communicate effectively through all facets of the organization.
