The Accounting Internship provides on-the-job experience to high school and college students where they can apply concepts, principles, and skills learned from the classroom. The intern will work closely with the Director of Accounting to ensure assignment and experience areas of accounting such as Fixed Assets, Payroll Accounting, Inventory Accounting as well as hands on experience using SAP along with preparing and reviewing financial statements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with accounting personnel to understand the areas of accounting such as fixed assets, payroll accounting, inventory accounting, etc.
• Attend financial statement reviews with accounting and FP&A
• Meet with Technical Accounting to understand JV partnerships and legal entity accounting
• Train and gain working knowledge of SAP and Blackline should journal entries and reconciliations become part of the daily duties
• Meet each work day with the Director of Accounting to debrief duties and

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school or college student following the accounting pathway
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
• Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt easily and positively to change.
• Ability to excel in a highly team-orientated environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize and prioritize workload, and complete work with a sense of urgency, accuracy, and follow-up.
