Overview

The Project Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of construction management and civil engineering projects throughout all phases of delivery. The primary duty of this role is to develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate with various teams, and monitor progress to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. This role also requires the ability to collect, analyze, and manage relevant project data for the purposes of tracking progress, change management, budgeting, and forecasting across all project activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program and Project Managers to develop detailed project schedules and create comprehensive and realistic project timelines.
• Coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs into a master schedule and deliver project/program status reports as required.
• Identify and allocate resources based on project requirements and constraints.
• Create, analyze, and update cash flow projections.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure resource availability and optimize utilization.
• Establish, maintain, and update project financial data and transactions
• Interface with internal staff and external clients for invoicing and cost tracking purposes, to include review and determination that billing and/or invoicing is in accordance with current contract terms and is consistent with client requirements
• Participate in risk and quality management processes and procedures
• Anticipate and address potential scheduling conflicts to maintain project timelines.
• Regularly update and maintain project schedules to reflect actual progress and any deviations from the original plan.
• Implement systems to track and report on project milestones and completion dates.
• Communicate schedule updates and changes to project teams and project managers.
• Participate in regular project meetings to discuss schedule-related issues and adjustments.
• Assist the team with completing and maintaining key project management reports to include monthly, standard, budget/costs, and KPI measurement reports
• Maintain accurate records of project schedules, changes, and updates.
• Evaluate and enhance scheduling processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Arts; Business, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred
• 10 years of professional project controls experience
• General understanding of project management methodology
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling, cost controls, and project reporting required.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project required including experience in the development, preparation, review, baselining of Project Schedules (Level 1 through Level 5 schedules) using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with experience in Critical Path Analysis
• Cost control experience for engineering and/or construction projects required
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
