Part-Time Veterinary Technician Emergency (ER) Encinitas, CA Papaya Veterinary Care is looking for Veterinary Technician candidates for our ER hospital in Encinitas, CA .

Our emergency hospital is not far from the gorgeous Encinitas coastline. Our hospital is roughly 3000 square feet, plenty of treatment tables, exam rooms, surgical room, and a break room for staff to put up their feet.

We share a common passion for animals and thrive in a collaborative environment. If you are looking for an elevated experience in Veterinary Care, you have come to the right place! Duties and Responsibilities : Assist doctors / RVTs with their outpatient cases and hospitalized patients.

Provide outstanding client communication and education. Give feedback and receive constructive criticism in real time. Maintain safe, clean environments.

Adaptability to an ever-changing environment, where urgent or emergent cases will be taken as they arrive. Ability to triage emergent cases Provide empathetic and helpful interaction to clients, vendors, peers, and managers.

Provide solid technical skills including but not limited to various blood draw techniques, IV catheter placement, administering drugs various routes, medication calculations, knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, proper patient handling and housing, setting up for surgical and sedated procedures, monitoring sedated anesthetic procedures, utilizing lab equipment Have sound judgement regarding prioritization, next steps and in communication with clients, vendors and peers.

Function independently and with a team. Advocate for the patient while providing exceptional comfort, diagnostic, surgical, and nursing care to all patients.
