Responsibilities:
- Provide grooming services to a variety of pets, including dogs and cats
- Bathe, brush, and trim pets' fur according to client specifications
- Perform nail trims and ear cleanings
- Assess and communicate any health concerns or issues to pet owners
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in your care
Skills:
- Animal care: Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and basic care
- Dog handling: Ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Animal restraint: Skill in safely restraining animals during grooming procedures
- Kennel: Experience working in a kennel or boarding facility is a plus
- Pet sitting: Familiarity with pet sitting services and responsibilities
- Pet care: Ability to provide general care for pets, including feeding and exercise
- Pet grooming: Proficiency in various grooming techniques and styles for different breeds
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry pets or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
