About this opportunity

The Accounts Receivable Representative will be an accounts receivable professional, who assists the accounting department with collection of funds for freight invoices. You will contribute to the success of the team by contacting customers with delinquent accounts and resolve payment delays.

Pay and Schedule

This position is on site Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The pay range is $17-$21/hr dependent on experience.

How will you contribute to the success of the team?

• Oversee the collection process to resolve account payment issues
• Work closely with other departments to provide support, resolve problems, and reconcile accounts
• Reconcile accounts by reaching out to key customer contacts with a goal of collecting funds while maintaining customer relations
• Write and maintain adequate notes on accounts with detail surrounding payment delays and account issues
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, sending statement of account to contacts, scanning, and other necessary duties.
• Complete research and provide backup to clear unapplied cash as well as pull remits when required for seamless cash applications
• Review account status with management on a regular basis
• Engage with all co-workers on the team as well as enhance job knowledge, growing our group and its successes

What makes you a strong candidate for this position?

• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook necessary
• 1 years experience in Accounts Receivable role
• Strong math, typing, and computer skills preferred
• Organization and time management skills required
• Must be meticulous, able to multitask and prioritize
