Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Project Management will provide strategic directions for projects within the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Ability to work autonomously to manage projects, processes, and team. Manage and support multiple strategic engagement and business improvement programs simultaneously. Ensures that projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements. Communicates routinely to management, project team members, and other stakeholders, actively soliciting and addressing stakeholder and project team feedback. Develop and refine schedules, scopes of work, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects. Develop project control, reporting procedures and manage changes in plans. Coach and mentor project management team and share knowledge of best practices. Ability to develop effective partnerships with stakeholders and to communicate clearly with all members of the staff, and vendors. Possesses technical understanding and ability to define and refine requirements through a project lifecycle. Ability to effectively manage, prioritize and lead multiple projects concurrently with varying complexities. Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.
