Description

Position Summary: Responsible for dispensing oral medications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Order all medications necessary for everyday operation for the pharmacy\mix room on a daily basis.
  • Keep accurate counts of oral medications in the Nucleus dispensing unit. All oral meds and supplies are to be kept in a safe location according to OSHA guidelines.
  • Process prescription fills per physician order
  • Process Oral Prior Auths
  • Completing Foundation Assistance applications.
  • Inventory Control
  • Keep a clean and safe work area at all times, assuring safety to all employees.
  • Ultimately responsible for any duties the fall into the category of a Licensed Certified Pharmacy Technician according to the rules and regulations governed by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Other tasks as requested by management
  • Other site-specific tasks

At times, would be required to float/travel to other offices in order to meet the needs of IOD. 

Requirements

Qualification/Requirement:

  • Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving occasional, last-minute changes in generally standardized situations.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • CPhT. (Pharmacy Technician Certification)

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
