Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group is seeking a full time Strategy and Communications Consultant

Location: Los Altos, CA (Hybrid role – 2-3 days onsite per week)

Highlights:

Strategic Communication Planning and Implementation

• Oversees the development and execution of strategies and plans that support clinician engagement, facilitate a quality patient experience, and improve clinician communication
• Supports the Medical Director of Communications in planning and orchestrating communications aspects of multiple key meetings, activities, town halls, CME opportunities, and clinician requirements
• Develops communications/engagement strategies and content for key PAFMG Senior Leadership Team members, including writing and editing executive speeches, and developing engaging and inspiring complimentary visual presentations
• Strategizes and writes original content, researches and analyzes information, prepares presentations (PowerPoint presentations, speeches, and talking points), and helps to plan logistics and manage overall coordination of the office

Internal Communication

• Collaborate with clinicians and supporting staff to identify communication needs, analyze audience demographics, and create compelling content across various channels
• Continually identifies opportunities to streamline communications and collect bi-directional feedback from key audiences

External Communication

• Support PAFMG brand management, maintain PAFMG’s social media, and partner with both internal and external stakeholders on crisis communication

Requirements:

• Eight years of recent, relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree in: Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations (PR) or another related field

(Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma)

Skills and Knowledge:

• Comprehensive knowledge of strategic communications, planning, social networking, graphic standards/corporate identity management, graphic design principles, and news/feature/speech/online/script writing and editing techniques
• Expert communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, presentation competencies, with the ability to interpret corporate goals and translate them into effective communications/constituent relations plans
• Working knowledge of selecting/hiring third-party talent for creative services, graphic design and production, publication development and management, market research and advertising.
• Understanding of and experience with Lean or other process improvement philosophies and methodologies desired

Pay: $72.40 - $108.60 per hour
