The RN Key Responsibilities include:
- Administers medications as ordered; instructs residents in use of medication.
- Monitor staff & residents throughout shift
- Ensure the safety of residents by ensuring that precautions are being followed as written by physician
- Ensure that daily schedule is being followed as outlined
- Attend unit shift report
- Communicate any changes to the daily schedule to the DON immediately

- Knowledge of general and child/adolescent psychiatric nursing, therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors.
- Work independently in providing assessments and evaluations of patients.
