Palmetto State Armory L is Hiring a Receiving Specialist Near Florence, SC

JOB PURPOSE

Ships, receives, inspects, organizes and stores merchandise. Acts as a liaison between the warehouse, procurement department and the store as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and processes all incoming products and store supplies.
  • Safely operate forklift and other equipment as needed.
  • Ships packages and freight. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness to make the warehouse as safe as possible.
  • Utilize NetSuite, UPS Campus ship and other systems to make sure merchandise is handled correctly.
  • Oversee implementation of security tagging before merchandise makes it to the sales floor when applicable.
  • Delivers inventory to the sales floor with the input of store management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs as they present themselves.
  • Coordinates with store management to accomplish store goals.
  • Follows up on discrepancies and inconsistencies with purchase orders.
  • Lead all efforts in cycle counts for back stock areas.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Retail and customer service experience preferred.
  • Inventory control with shipping/receiving experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Able to organize high volume items.
  • Prioritize products to ensure product is accessible and stored properly.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite and Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication both orally and written.
  • Must be a self-starter and take initiative.
  • Positive attitude, goal driven, and focused on the overall strategic picture of the organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may require regular evening and weekend work and may include holidays as well. Work area will primarily be, but not limited to, stock rooms or warehouse which may vary in temperature. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: Reading, writing, typing, and speaking on all necessary forums, hearing, standing, walking, lifting up to 70lb, climbing, stooping and sitting. Must be able to operate a forklift.
