JOB PURPOSE

The Quality Control Team Lead establishes direction and strategies for the Quality Control Technicians’ and adheres to the strategic vision for Palmetto State Armory’s Quality Programs and Initiatives. This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Team Lead will work closely with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that we are providing a quality product to our customers, implement changes, and be able to maintain accurate and consistent production. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Manage Production Order verification and documentation to verify incoming product accuracy and quality.
• Assist in implementing and improving quality system; writing documents, assigning tasks, training.
• Manage daily activities for receiving and inspecting incoming product for both Manufacturing and Distribution
• Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all work stations are 5s/lean.
• Manage constraints to meet production.
• Ensure that Inspection materials are restocked at the end of shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications include:

• 1- year Quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Excellent Communication/Organizational Skills
• Must be willing to learn, adapt, and be flexible.
• Possess the ability to implement and manage change.
• Strong problem solving/ conflict resolution skills.
• Must have strong computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Must be a US citizen subject to ITAR requirements.
• Be personally energetic, positive, and be able to think laterally in order to follow through with reasoned decision making.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The Quality Control Team lead must be able to work overtime as needed to meet production requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Working conditions include but are not limited to; sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting requirements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or less regularly. Cleaning material and chemicals used regularly.
