Palmetto Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced expanded duties dental assistant. We provide a friendly, caring working environment offering top pay and for the right candidate. Candidate must have minimum 2 years’ experience in general dentistry procedures, must be a self starter, posses good patient and team intercommunication skill, team player and willing to be coached.

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays
- Record patient medical history and vital signs
- Perform patient assessments and document findings
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures INCLUDING : adjusting dentures, delivering and adjusting crowns
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean and sterile environment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using EAGLESOFT

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental systems and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
