Job Summary: 

The Golf Retail Associate will warmly greet all members and guests, offer direction, and will be knowledgeable of the product assortment in each store. The Retail Associate will actively maintain the store's image by refolding apparel and organizing as needed inside the store. The Retail Associate will assist in ordering products, processing transactions, and assisting in golf shop functions such as scheduling starting times. The Golf Retail Associate is an ambassador of Palmetto Bluff and will be expected to be knowledgeable about all amenities and experiences available on the property as well as aware of what is taking place on the property each day.

Essential Job Functions:

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Greet all guests warmly upon arrival 
• Assist in tee time and other reservation process including check-in, billing, and end of day reporting. 
• Provide assistance to guests in the retail store(s), both by telephone and face to face
• Actively sell merchandise to achieve monthly sales goals. 
• Select and order products with the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Golf and Tennis Merchandise Manager.
• Receive and stock merchandise, while maintaining retail displays, replenishing as needed.
• Execute the shipping of member and guest purchases as requested and maintain packing supplies.
• Participate in monthly physical inventory.
• Input/receive inventory data into inventory management software.
• Handle returns and refunds.
• Promote positive relations with guests and staff members.
• Attend all meetings and training sessions as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate
• Experience in a retail environment
• Experience in the hospitality industry helpful
• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, support departments, and guests.
• Professional and personable demeanor

Physical Demands:

• Most work tasks are performed indoors. The temperature generally is moderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems.
• Must be able to lift 20lbs.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort on a timely basis.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and subordinates.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being near vision and depth perception.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must have finger dexterity to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and other office equipment as needed.
