Description

The Transfer Driver will shuttle trucks from branch to branch or from branch to customer on an on-call, as needed, basis. Adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocol is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

Job duties include inspecting the truck for mechanical issues, filling out paperwork, communicating with a dispatcher, and This job requires a valid truck driver’s license for the specific type of truck.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience working alone.
• Communication skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork correctly.
• Ability to complete pre and post trip truck inspections.
• Ability to Shuttle trucks from Branch to Branch or Branch to customer
• Ability to follow all DOT regulations and safety protocols.

Computer Skills

• Navigation skills/GPS
• Basic mobile phone skills including text messaging and email.
• Basic tablet/computer skills such a web browsing and email.

Certificates and Registrations

• Relevant driver's license.
• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Physical Demands

• Ability to load and unload fright if needed.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and eye exam.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
