Essential Functions:

• Assisting the Director of Retail Services, Manager of Retail Operations, and Marketing
• Department with the creation, development, and implementation of local store marketing programs that build customer loyalty, customer counts, and overall sales.
• Helping promote all Direct To You Market in house promotions (Steak and Shrimp, Gift Cards, Cut of the Month, etc.).
• Generate interest in our products and motivate customers to make purchases.
• Building relationships during community outreach food runs with businesses, hotels, radio stations, schools, car dealerships, fire departments, police departments, etc.
• Helping establish positive and ongoing business relationships with neighboring retailers, hotels, civic groups, etc.
• Helping develop and execute ongoing charitable and community events that position Palmer’s Direct To You Market as a community leader and build brand awareness.
• Assisting in all public relations efforts including media events, special on-site events, and publicity events that promote Palmer’s Direct To You Market.
• Communicating frequently with Director of Retail Services, Manager of Retail Operations, management team, and all associates (through shift huddles) about ongoing programs, plans, and results.
• Monitor competitor’s activities and assist in marketing intelligence.
• Promote the Palmer’s Loyalty Rewards Program to include signing up new members to the program, creating campaigns for existing members, and assessing overall performance of program.
• Identify growth opportunities such as, but not limited to, catering opportunities, sponsorships, community activities, food runs to local businesses, joining local chamber of commerce, “shop” to donate programs, local hero programs, and youth sport program fundraisers.

Salary- $58,500- $60,000 a year

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or state issued equivalency certificate.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in retail or restaurant marketing.
• Valid NY State driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or restaurant marketing, preferred.
• Be goal oriented, able to meet and surpass sales objectives.
• Demonstrate stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be capable of analyzing market trends and customer behavior.
• Be able to multitask and have high quality organizational skills.
• Be able to work weekends and nights based on events and business needs.
• Have a dependable automobile.
• Be able to travel locally for business purposes.
• Previous experience in Micros Point of Sales System preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Walking and standing in a retail environment for extended periods of time.
