The term Faculty is limited to regular personnel at Palmer whose regular assignment includes instruction, research and/or public service as a principal activity and who hold academic rank as Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Instructor. Faculty play an important role in curriculum and policy development; faculty are planners who must constantly look to the long-term future of education and discovery. The faculty is expected to work closely with students, other faculty, and administration of the College in promoting interests of the Palmer College of Chiropractic and its strategic plan.
Faculty Clinicians support the mission of Palmer College and the Palmer Clinics, provide quality chiropractic patient care, provide leadership and guidance to student externs and provide quality chiropractic clinical education to student externs. Manage patient care within protocol of the Palmer Chiropractic Clinics. Oversee student conduct. Consult with other Faculty. Be accessible and responsive to patient needs. Coach and mentor students.

Faculty duties fall under several areas: teaching, patient care, service/citizenship and advising/mentorship. Specifically, the following activities are expected of all faculty clinicians:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified applicants must possess a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, active state licensure, and documented practice experience. Experience with Medicare and managed care, advanced education or completed residency program and prior teaching experience are preferred.
